Born in Venice (1988) - Federico Vespignani is a photographer and cinematographer.

His editorial work has been published in leading international outlets such as The New York Times, GEO, Stern, Courrier International, Monocle, Domus, Society, Forbes, Bloomberg, and D la Repubblica.

His research focuses on a visual discourse on transnational crime, state-sponsored propaganda, and environmental collapse, emphasizing the role of visual culture in shaping public perception. In 2022, Federico published his first monograph, "Por Aquí Todo Bien" (550BC), a multiannual visual investigation on an organized crime group in Honduras. In 2025, he released "En La Vía" (NIGHTED), a collaborative project with Moises Cubas on his Journey from Honduras to the USA and "Short-term but Long-term" (Debatable Publishing, 550BC), a critical forensic visual research project investigating the IDF dating-app culture reflected in 300+ profiles that potentially are connected to violations of international humanitarian law.

He is also a co-founder of Celestia Studio, a multidisciplinary visual studio based in Venice.
